I'm Happy

Six months later my blog is still here and I am, too. I sit at my desk with my frizzy hair in a ponytail until the hair dryer straightens it, happy to once again update my blog. Focusing on what I love every day gets my brain working and is my heart. I’m happy to express myself once again through blog posts. Basically, I claim my spot and say, “I’m here today.”

Life offers a sense of freedom – to do whatever is wanted. Today is what I make it, and I'm going to make it great! For me, today includes putting things in their places, blow drying my hair, creating something helpful, and seeing much beauty. I’m thankful for the internet which keeps me in touch with friends and the world. Today, my heart is full.

A Change in Facebook Affects Me

I read an article where Mark Zuckerberg (the owner of Facebook) said the algorithm of Facebook changed to show popular posts in the news feed according to how many comments they have. (To break it down, the more comments a post has the more likely it is to be in the news feed and the higher it will be.) He said if the comments contain "congratulations" it will be at the top.

I believe that several people read my blog, even though hardly anyone ever comments or likes my posts. When I post something it will be in the News feed, but it might not be there the next day if it's not popular. I started posting every day because I hope that what I say will help someone, but if they don't read it that day they might not see it.

Social media is used differently by people my age versus young people. Social media evolves and right now it's toward what's popular. Bottom line: if my post isn't read the day it's posted it probably won't be seen.

Eight Blogs Might be Considered Excessive

I have eight blogs. It's true. Click on my name and see them all listed. Over achiever? Too Talkative? Has nothing else to do? Interested in a lot of things? Yes, to all of the above.

Currently, I am working on a family tree graphic to put on my genealogy blog. After that, I want to tell about Grandpa Gordon and how he served in WWII. I want to tell about Grandma Gordon and how nice she was and how she loved to sing. I want to tell stories of each of my ancestors and keep their memories alive.

I am a product of the things I like. I say quotes and inspiring things all the time. I enjoy being a wife and mother. I talk about religious things a lot. I have a memory like an elephant. I talk about my relatives. I write and express my thoughts. I laugh and think things are funny.

I could write about each of those things in one blog but I've split my blogs so that I can say specific things about each one.

I am no one of consequence - I'm not famous. I'm just an ordinary person who talks A LOT!

My New Blog

I decided to move my blog here. I've taken The Lovgren Family blog long enough. I transferred all my thoughts here and will no longer update my other blog.

Also, some other blogs were created.
If you want to read about my family, click here.
If you want to read some of my writings, click here.
If you want to read about my family tree, click here.
If you want to know about my childhood memories, click here.
If you want to know how I feel about my religion, click here.

I know, six blogs! (I had to find some way to fill up my time instead of watching mind-numbing TV.) Now that I don't work, I asked myself, "What am I going to do?" I wanted to go to school but physically it wasn't possible...so that was out. The next thing I thought of was how much I liked writing...and blogging seemed perfect!
